<p>Mekanism continues their run of high-quality, hilarious integrated solutions with their latest project for Tostitos. The full-screen video site showcases the fictional organization NOLAF (National Organization for Legislation Against Fun) and their on-going crusade against all things fun, especially Tostitos. The shorts include Q&amp;A sessions with seven hopeful NOLAF members, meetings, and demonstrations that reveal how and why to fight fun. Mekanism partnered with Element 79 to develop the concept, site and content syndication strategy. The Mekanism syndication program has resulted in well over 3 million views on YouTube alone.</p>

The Human Race Challenge needed to engage the running community is a way that motivated runners to participate in the Human Race with their Friends, through a customized challenge on what-cha-doin!  We created a fictitious home page of a UGC video site (What-Cha-Doin.com) which transforms into the face of your computer, sent by your friend to challenge you to participate.  By combining elements of 2D animation with FLASH Video, we created a seamless character of your computer, to deliver the message from your friend based on 2 simple questions based on Running Style.  We then select each of the seven appropriate sections custom messages, each with numerous variations for each section and a list of 250+ names. The result is an experience which has 5.47+ million possible versions of the challenge.</span></p>

<p>For Need for Speed, one of EA&#8217;s largest franchises, our goal was to give gamers everything they expect from a product site, but to do it in an exciting, unexpected way. Using 3D Papervision and Flash, we drop the audience right into the middle of the action and onto the streets of Tri-City, the fictional setting of Need for Speed: Undercover. Site visitors can turn 360 degrees and interact with three high-energy moments from the game: a car crash, a police take-down, and a highway chase. Clicking on interactive objects within the 3D space links to trailers, photos, and other bonus content, which was updated every two weeks leading up to the game launch. The entire site was driven by a content management system and localized into 19 languages, to address Need for Speed&#8217;s global audience.</p>

<p>Mekanism joined forces with BBDO and acclaimed director Tony Scott for a web-based initiative that promotes the Dodge Ram. A Branded online reality show, the Ram challenge brought four teams of real life heroes together to face off within a custom-built &#8216;obstacle course city&#8217;. Utilizing a 3-D Papervision sphere and full screen flash video, The Ram Challenge site drops the viewer right into the action with a full 360-degree, animated view of the actual race site, making for a full panoramic experience. The user can navigate the site to view all six minute webisodes, meet the teams taking part and even join the ram challenge community.</p>

<p>Mekanism Creates Bollywood Stories for Interactive One Show</p>
<p>Mekanism has been tapped by The One Club to create the promotional creative for 2009&#8217;s One Show Interactive awards. One Show Interactive took place in New York City, May 7-8, and is the industry&#8217;s most prestigious awards competition celebrating the year&#8217;s best in digital media and web design.</p>
<p>The promotional material is based on this year&#8217;s Bollywood theme and is a sequence of moving portraits, as a parade of characters takes their turn on screen in their rawest emotional states. Bright, solid-colored background focus attention on each cast member as they play their part in the mini drama. The edgy, interpretive storyline is an ideal representative for the type of creative work honored at the One Show Awards.</p>
<p>The live action shorts showcased in Times Square, NYC, May 1 &#8211; 8, 2009, in addition to serving as the basis for all of the promotional and branding for the awards ceremony.</p>
<p>&#8220;The attendees at The One Show are the most discerning creative advertising minds in the world and we&#8217;re honored to have been selected by Kevin Swanepoel, President of The One Show, to craft this essential component of the award show&#8217;s promotion&#8221; said Ian Kovalik, Creative Director of Mekanism. &#8220;The materials we&#8217;ve created for the Interactive One Show offer rich, compelling visuals filmed with the best equipment we can get our hands on.&#8221;</p>
<p>A Phantom HD High Speed camera was used by Mekanism to bring to life One Show Interactive&#8217;s Bollywood theme. With a 1000 fps speed, the Phantom creates a unique high-resolution, super slow motion image that captures and highlights the drama of small moments found in the lives of eight fictionalized Bollywood characters that were concepted by Mekanism. Scott Barry, directed the shoot which took place in Los Angeles.</p>
<p>&#8220;Mekanism really nailed this work,&#8221; said Kevin Swanepoel, President of The One Show. &#8220;We&#8217;re always looking for that elusive combination of supreme competence and fresh ideas, and Mekanism delivered for us.&#8221;</p>
